IPWG: Statement Release
Updated: May 19, 2020
NLECPH: IPWG (Independent Production Workers Group) released a statement, "Our work is not mere 'work.' Passion fuels us to wake up early, stay up late, and do complicated tasks to incite delight. Our events spur creativity, innovation, and experience. They tug at the heartstrings, as we become part of their lives. And this is why we are resilient. We have thousands of reasons to survive. IPWG believes that when we recover from this, we should expect incredible innovations and creations –our cup of tea."
Like all Filipino workers, artists and production workers have been affected by the pandemic as early as January 2020, yet our industry is now deemed the last to recover after this crisis. Giving our industry a voice to be heard.
