MAY 19, 2020 — From National Live Events Coalition–Philippines, more than 300,000 workers who work in Live Events industry such as concerts, theater, festivals, weddings, and more including Freelancers. Including myself and my business name, our job is affected by crisis and pandemic.
We, the workers from the Live Events industry, are reaching for help to the government as we lost our income due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The group, National Live Events Coalition, was built to get united in raising our voices and support each other as well.
The bands and wedding suppliers are suspended because of prohibiting big events while COVID-19 pandemic is still present.
Some people might lose their job and some businesses would take time to recover their lost. And most of individuals, had no enough savings that would fit to the budget for their necessities. They might die from hunger rather than the virus as the supply of relief goods are limited.
Reaching to our government may not be enough for we know how they rule our nation as far as we addressed our concerns as the citizen of our nation. Let’s help each other. Let’s help the Live Events community.
